    Dr. Michael Kokott is a general dentist and partner at Associated Dentists in Verona. He is passionate about dentistry, family, photography and exercise. Dr. Kokott enjoys living life to the fullest both in the office and with his wife of 34 years and their four grown grandchildren. Since he began his dental career as a dental officer in the United States Army while stationed at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, Dr. Kokott has always felt that getting to meet so many different people through dentistry is one of the great privileges and rewards of his profession. In addition to dentistry, Dr. Kokott is also passionate about photography, and always enjoys the opportunity to get out the camera. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and exercising. Dr. Kokott has a long-term commitment to provide charitable dental care to the underserved. He regularly provides dental treatment at the Madison Salvation Army dental clinic (known as the Madison Dental Initiative). He has also participated in nearly every Mission of Mercy organized dentistry event that has been held in different parts of the state from 2009 to today. In addition, Dr. Kokott routinely participates in the Donated Dental Services program that the Wisconsin Dental Association oversees to provide dental care to local Wisconsin residents. Dr. Kokott has also held leadership positions in community organizations such as Kiwanis, Cub Scouts, soccer teams, swim teams and others.

  • Dr. James Sands

    Partner & General Dentist

    Dr. James Sands is a partner and general dentist at Associated Dentists’ Verona office. Dr. Sands is experienced in all facets of dentistry, but he feels he is never done learning. His warm and reassuring personality is known to put even the most timid patient at ease. From private study to longer courses and training opportunities, Dr. Sands is always striving to provide his patients with the latest innovations and techniques that dentistry has to offer. Nothing gives him greater satisfaction than being able to guide a patient through the process of fixing their smile. Dr. Sands is a credentialed member in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He earned his Associate Fellow designation in 2013 after completing over 300 credit hours of training in dental implants and passing a rigorous oral and written examination process. Dr. Sands feels that he owes it to his patients to have the training he himself would want in a dentist. Dr. Sands and his wife have three young children that keep them very busy. He enjoys traveling, photography, videography, Legos with his children, and biking. Three years ago, Dr. Sands began cycling with JDRF. The 100 mile Ride to Cure takes place around the US to help raise money for research to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. By this year’s ride in Amelia Island, Dr. Sands will have helped raise over $10,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

    Partner & General Dentist

    Dr. Patrick Tepe is a partner and general dentist at our Verona office. Dr. Tepe is dedicated to his patients, his profession, and the community. He loves talking with his patients. “Treat others how you wish to be treated”. Dr. Tepe has always believed that dentists have a responsibility to their profession and their community. He has taken an active leadership role in the Wisconsin Dental Association, the premier advocate for dental health and patients in Dane County and Wisconsin. When not volunteering, Dr. Tepe is a true foodie. He loves reading and learning about food, cooking and creating meals. Check out his favorite recipes on our Facebook page.
